Traffic

(11/14/14)

The street was foggy, but not dark. Car horns and cyclical radio scans.
Prank calls and jazz, hip hop and news, sports talk and country music.
I zoom along in the far left lane. Tis meant for passing, yes? Not speed?
It seem some have misplaced that memo. No bother, Jessie J is playing.

Alas, a left signal and a swerve. Twice. Two new cars in our assembly.
Brake lightly and gauge the space behind me.
Brake lightly and the car before me swerves.
Look sharply and no one's to my right.
Move slightly and zoom past hug-ers.
Glance at kissers.
Shake my head.

Not as romantic when done with cars.
Sigh quietly and keep my distance.
Praise God for daily miracles.

Here's to making it to work every day. It's definitely not by my might.

Lagos-esque behaviour but far left lane suggest otherwise?
