The Day 28 prompt is Bridges:

A week ago

died in hospital.

 Legacy

If we could build a bridge

from

their future to

our past

would they emerge

confused, agahst

at how little

has changed?

Would they weep in 

shocked surprise

at how much 

is exactly the same?

If we could build a 

bridge from hate to 

love

and from

indifference to

understanding,

would we roll up our sleves

and try?

Or would we sigh and cry

"Woe is me!"

and push it off to 

'the other guys'?

Bridge building does

indeed take time.
